Heya this is kinda of off topic but I was wondering if blogs use WYSIWYG editors or if you have to manually
code with HTML. I’m starting a blog soon but have no
coding know-how so I wanted to get advice from someone with experience.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Many blogging platforms and content management systems (CMS) provide WYSIWYG (What You See Is What You Get) editors, which allow users to create and edit blog posts without the need for coding knowledge or manually writing HTML. These editors typically offer a user-friendly interface where you can format text, insert images, create hyperlinks, and customize the layout using pre-designed templates or drag-and-drop functionality.
Popular blogging platforms like WordPress, Blogger, and Squarespace, among others, provide WYSIWYG editors that make it easy for beginners to create and manage their blogs. These editors often have toolbar options similar to those found in word processors, allowing you to format text, add media, and apply styling without needing to write any code.
However, it’s worth mentioning that having some basic knowledge of HTML can be beneficial as it gives you more control over the appearance and functionality of your blog. Understanding HTML allows you to make customizations beyond what the WYSIWYG editor offers and troubleshoot any formatting issues that may arise. But don’t worry, you don’t need to be an expert in coding to start a blog and achieve a professional-looking result.
In summary, using a blogging platform with a WYSIWYG editor is a great option for beginners who want to start a blog without coding know-how. These editors provide a user-friendly interface that allows you to create and format content easily. However, having a basic understanding of HTML can be helpful for more advanced customization.
